UNIABUJA Registrar Denies Sack Reports

The Registrar of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), Alhaji Muhammad Modibbo has denied reports that he has been sent on compulsory leave by the Governing Council of the University due to the expiration of his tenure.

He said that his tenure actually expires in August this year and nobody has the right to remove him from office before then.

Modibbo blamed the false reports on those who want to rig the appointment of new Vice-Chancellor for the university as the tenure of the current VC on June 30.

He said that the security reports on the nominees was a lie as the State Security Service were yet to release reports concerning them.

“I have written to the SSS concerning the 10 contenders which is the rule, so that they can be cleared and the SSS is yet to reply”, the registrar narrated.
