Brief Introduction
Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, a Chevron company and operator of the Agbami Field, in its continuous support for capacity building in the health and engineering sectors as a strategic feed into the national manpower pool, is offering a number of University Scholarship Awards to qualified Nigerian students from ALL states of the Federation.
The scholarship program, funded by Star and its Agbami co-venturers, is a major component of their Social Investment in the strategic development of health and education in Nigeria.
Applications are invited from full time, 100 and 200 level undergraduates from any state of the Federation, studying any of the under listed courses in universities within Nigeria:

How to Enter for the Scholarship

Application is open to full-time 100 or 200 level candidates admitted during the 2014/2015 or 2013/2014 academic session only.

8. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
9. When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.
10. Recheck application information to avoid errors
11. Click "Apply Now" to submit information
12. You will receive an email and a sms that confirms your application was successful.
13. Return to www.scholastica.ng enter your Email and Password to download your verification profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed verification profile, this would be used for verification.
15. If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN);

• Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number
• Click "Create Account" and fill in the required fields
• Login with Email and Password to complete the form
• After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture
• Visit any of the 37 capture centres http://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number
• You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office

16. Return to www.scholastica.ng/schemes/agbami and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion.

2015 MUSTE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION is currently ongoing. All Applications are to be submitted on-line, and after that candidates will be invited for qualifying examinations appropriately.
The Youth Empowerment and ICT Foundation is currently offering its MUSTE Scholarship funding for Nigerian students pursuing undergraduate studies in Nigerian higher institutions for 2015/2016 academic period.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR MUSTE SCHOLARSHIP 2015

Scholarship Description

The Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, an academy of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, sponsors the Academy Scholars Program. This program is open to all recent PhD recipients and doctoral candidates.

The Academy Scholars Program identifies and supports outstanding scholars at the start of their careers whose work combines disciplinary excellence in the social sciences (including history and law) with a command of the language, history, or culture of non-Western countries or regions. Their scholarship may elucidate domestic, comparative, or transnational issues, past or present.

Applications are welcome from qualified persons without regard to nationality, gender, or race.

In the past, The Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies sponsored both the Academy Scholars Program and the Academy Graduate Fellows Program; however, the Academy Graduate Fellows portion of The Harvard Academy Scholars Program was discontinued in the Academic Year 2014–2015.

 Eligibility

• The program considers applicants who are already enrolled in or who have recently completed a PhD or equivalent doctoral program in the social sciences. Predoctoral candidates must have finished all field research and be in the writing stage of their dissertation at the time of application. If you have completed a PhD program, the PhD completion date must be within three years of the October 1 application deadline.
•  The Academy Scholars Program is open to scholars from all countries and citizenships.
•  Those in possession of a PhD longer than three years are ineligible. 
•  It is not necessary to apply specifically as a predoctoral or postdoctoral candidate, as the Selection Committee considers all applicants in one applicant pool. Do, however, indicate your anticipated completion date to the Committee.
•  Finalists must be available to travel for a personal interview on the December 15, 2015 interview date. The Harvard Academy will arrange and pay for all travel and hotel accommodations for the finalists to interview in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

Purpose of the programme

The competition for these awards is open only to recent PhD (or comparable professional school degree) recipients and doctoral candidates. Those still pursuing a PhD should have completed their routine training and be well along in the writing of their theses before applying to become Academy Scholars.

The program defines non-Western as any country other than the US, Canada, and Western Europe (as defined by the former Iron Curtain). Also, research that covers non-Western interaction with the Western region is transnational and thus eligible.

Sponsorship duration

Scholars are named for two-year appointments.

Academy Scholars are expected to reside in the Cambridge/Boston area for the duration of their appointments unless traveling for pre-approved research purposes.

Scholarship benefits

Academy Scholars are appointed for two years by the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies and are provided time, guidance, and access to Harvard University facilities. They receive substantial financial and research assistance to undertake sustained projects of research and/or acquire accessory training in their chosen fields and areas.

The Senior Scholars, a distinguished group of senior Harvard University faculty members, act as mentors to the Academy Scholars to help them achieve their intellectual potential.

Postdoctoral Academy Scholars will receive an annual stipend of $67,000, and predoctoral Academy Scholars will receive an annual stipend of $31,000. This stipend is supplemented by funding for conference and research travel, research assistants, and health insurance coverage.

Some teaching is permitted but not required.

Description of the Scholarship

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program is a $500 million initiative to inspire young people — particularly from Africa — to lead change through education.

The University of British Columbia, Canada is pleased to partner with The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program to provide comprehensive scholarships to students from Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Program provides access to education for academically talented, yet economically marginalized young people. More than 110 students from Africa will receive comprehensive scholarships to live and learn at the University of British Columbia thanks to a $25 million grant from The MasterCard Foundation.

The first cohort of Scholars will arrived at UBC in fall 2013. Over the next 10 years, UBC expects to welcome 77 undergraduate and 35 master’s degree students through the Program.

UBC is among the first Canadian universities to join The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program and one of few (about 15) institutions in the world participating in the $500 million global education initiative.

Eligibility Of the scholarship
Undergraduate Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at UBC for undergraduate students is open to first-time applicants who are residents and citizens of a Sub-Saharan African country.

To be eligible for consideration as an undergraduate for The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at UBC, students must be nominated. The nominee must:

• be a citizen of and residing in a Sub-Saharan African country;
• present economically disadvantaged financial circumstances, and be able to show they lack financial means from family or other sources to pursue post-secondary (university) education in their home country or elsewhere;
• have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances, and show leadership qualities or potential;
• demonstrate an interest in and commitment to giving back to his/her home community in ways that enhance the economic growth and social development of Africa, through engagement in activities outside the classroom, in the school and/or community;
• be graduating/recently graduated from a recognized senior secondary school;
• be applying for their first undergraduate degree in one of the following Faculties at UBC’s Vancouver campus:
• Faculty of Arts
• Faculty of Applied Science (Engineering)
• Faculty of Forestry (Bachelor of Science in Forestry)

Scholarship benefits
The MasterCard foundation grants a $25M Scholarships for African students.

Selected students will receive a scholarship equivalent to the costs related to attaining a degree, including travel, tuition, textbooks, housing, food, and living expenses.

You will also receive financial, academic, social, and post-graduation support which will enable you to build experiences and competencies critical for academic success.

Method of Application
Interested undergraduate students must be nominated. However, nominees must also complete the online application for academic admission into UBC and and meet the UBC English Language Admission Requirement. Nominations are currently open for the 2016-17 academic year.

Prospective graduate students from Sub-Saharan Africa who qualify under the MCF Scholarship eligibility criteria must complete an application package to seek admission into one of the above-listed Faculties.
