UNILAG Announces 2015/16 Sales Of Admission Form Into Diploma in Human Kinetics & Health Education

The Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, University of Lagos (UNILAG) in collaboration with Human Resources Development Centre is requesting qualified candidates to apply for admission into its two-year part-time programme for active sportsmen and women leading to the Award of the Diploma in Human Kinetics and Health Education.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) Credits in West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE), NECO or GCE O/L which must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology and any other Science subject at one sitting.
Coaching  Grade III  Certificate or Diploma obtained from National Institute of Sports.
Duration: Two (2) Academic Sessions.
Date of Qualifying Examination & Interview:
Date: Sat, 14th Nov. 2015.
Venue: Sports Centre, UNILAG    announces
Time: 8.00am
Lecture Commences: 30th November, 2015.
Fees: N73,000.00 per session

METHOD OF APPLICATION

• First all Applicants are expected to visit the HRDC portal: http//:hrdc.unilag.edu.ng to fill the pre- application form.  (Contents of the pre-application form include surname, first name, middle name, e-mail address and mobile number).  Upon successful completion of the pre-application form, the applicant will be issued a Payment Reference Number which should be printed out.

•  Applicants should take their printout containing the payment reference number to any of the HRDC application fee collecting banks (Ecobank, Access Bank, First Bank and Wema Bank) on the University campus to make payment. (Application Fee N7,500.00).

• After payment, applicants should return to the payment portal, click the application form link and login with the payment Reference Number and surname (in lower case and strictly as provided in the pre-application form) as password to access the application form.

N.B: Kindly note the following;
Only application payment that the bank has confirmed receipt of, will have access to the application form.  Applicants who experience challenges may return to the bank where payment was made to request that their payment be posted. (Notification of payment receipt shall be sent to applicants who have paid).
The password will be as provided in the Surname field in lower case; errors in filling of surname must therefore be reflected in the password used.
After completion of application form, printed copies should be submitted at the HRDC Secretariat with the following documents not later than Friday 13th November, 2015.
- Original printout and a photocopy.
- Two (2) photocopies of Birth Certificate.
- Two (2) photocopies of Reference Number printout.
- Two (2) photocopies of N7,500.00 teller.
- Two (2) photocopies of Credentials.
Letters of Admission will not be posted to individual candidates. The admission list will be available on Human Resources Development Centre portal (hrdc.unilag.edu.ng) and University of Lagos website (http//:www.unilag.edu.ng).

NATURE OF PROGRAMME
Part Time Degree Programme is a non-residential programme with lectures holding on weekends at the main Campus of the University. Duration of Programme for Agricultural courses is 7 sessions while 6 sessions is for Natural Sciences.

Eligible candidates are to access the Federal university of Agriculture, Abeokuta Website (www.unaab.edu.ng) and click on Part Time Degree Portal or log on to portal.unaab.edu.ng/pt to generate and print their Application invoices stating the payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifteen Thousand naira (N 15,000.00) only (exclusive of bank charges), Reference Numbers and other information.
Candidates should proceed to any of the listed banks (nationwide) on the print-out of the invoice and make payment using the reference number on the invoice.
After payment at the designated banks, candidates are to proceed to FUNAAB Part Time Degree portal Programme or log on to portal.unaab.edu.ng/pt to complete the processing of application.
Only completed application forms will be considered for admission.
No complaint of wrong Bio-data , O’ Level results, OND/HND results or blank photograph would be entertained after submission.

1. Fields marked asterisks (*) are compulsory.

All the subjects of your O’Level are in the same selection box. Pick each at a time, select the grade and click ADD button to add them to your list. You can also remove any of the subjects if you change your mind.
When you are through selecting all the subjects, click on save to save your O’Level results.
Maximum of two sittings are allowed where necessary.

TYPES OF ADMISSION

(i) Full-Time Admission
Full-time admission can be offered only to candidates who satisfy the Postgraduate School that they are not in employment, or that they have been released by their employers to undertake full-time studies.
Candidates found to have made a false declaration in this regard shall be asked to withdraw from the University.

(ii) Part-Time Admission
Candidates may be admitted to part-time registration, if they are on the academic staff of the University or can satisfy the Postgraduate School that facilities for their work as part-time students are adequate.
Candidates applying for part-time registration may be asked to show evidence of release by their employers.

(iii) Admission as Occasional Students
Candidates who satisfy the minimum entry requirements for higher degree programme and are recommended by the Faculty Postgraduate Committee may be admitted as occasional students, but shall not be awarded a degree of the University of Ibadan. This type of admission is also open to candidates registered for higher degrees of other Universities, recognised by Senate.

General Regulations Governing Admission to Higher Degree Programmes

(a) Candidates for admission to higher degree programmes shall normally be graduates of the University of Ibadan or other Universities/Institutions recognised by the Senate. Admission shall be made by the Postgraduate School on the recommendation of the appropriate Faculty Postgraduate Committee.

(b) Candidates without any previous higher degrees in the relevant discipline may be admitted only to either the Degree of Master or the Professional Degree of Master.

(c) Candidates with recognised Research Higher Degree in the relevant discipline may be admitted to the M.Phil or Ph.D. degree programmes as appropriate, on the recommendation of the appropriate Faculty Postgraduate Committee.

(d) Where, in respect of an otherwise eligible candidate with a higher degree, a firm recommendation for admission to the Ph.D. degree programme cannot be made, a Faculty may recommend that a candidate be admitted provisionally to the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme pending an assessment report. Such an assessment shall be made by a panel set up by the Faculty Postgraduate Committee on the recommendation of the student’s department and shall take place not later than the end of the first semester of registration.

APPLICATION FORMS

Requests for application forms into higher degree programmes of the University are normally made every year. The procedure for obtaining Application Forms is available at www.pgschool.ui.edu.ng

Application forms cost N15,000 for academic programmes and N18,000 for professional programmes. Applicants for the degree of Master and Postgraduate Diploma are to pay an extra N2,500 for test of proficiency in English Language.

GUIDELINES FOR FILLING APPLICATION FORMS
(a) All application forms are to be submitted on-line. Applicants are to approach any of the Banks listed on the invoice. Note that E-channels are available at GTB and Skye Bank PLC.
(b) Incomplete information from an applicant may delay or halt action on such application.
(c) A candidate may apply to only one department or programme.
(d) Applicants are to upload their relevant credentials and submit along with their application electronically
(e) Acknowledgement of Application: Applicants would be informed electronically (through the e mail addresses provided in the electronically filled Application form) of progress in the processing of their forms.
(f) Letters of Recommendation: The Postgraduate School, University of Ibadan, requires three letters of recommendation from faculty members or others well acquainted with the student’s academic work. Please note that the referee forms are available online, to be completed and submitted electronically.
(g) Transcripts/Certificates: Official transcripts of all degrees completed are to be mailed to the Postgraduate School. If the Registrar of an applicant’s University will provide an official copy to the School directly, applicants must enclose along with the application an unofficial or student’s copy of the transcript for temporary reference.

To prevent delays, applicants should make adequate arrangements with their Registrars to provide transcripts before the stipulated deadline.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) invites all Direct Entry Applicants who have chosen LAUTECH as first choice of institution in the JAMB application and those that are interested in LAUTECH with a minimum of Upper Credit in ND, Credit in NCE and Lower Credit in HND in relevant subjects to a screening exercise.

FUTMinna 2014 Direct Entry Admission Form Is Out

Sales of Dierct Entry (DE) for FUTMINNA is now on sale as The management of Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) have announced the sales of Direct Entry (DE) form for 2014/2015 session.

ELIGIBILITY: Candidates who chose FUTMINNA as choice in the JAMB DE form and possess a minimum of five ‘O’ level credits including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses.

Direct Entry candidates must also possess a minimum of Lower Credit at National Diploma and/or Higher National Diploma levels or Merit at NCE level.

Only ‘O’ level result print-outs downloaded directly from the websites of the National Examining Bodies (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of original certificate(s) will be accepted for verification.

Direct Entry Registration Procedure: Candidates are advised to visit the FUT Minna website www.futminna.edu.ng for details on the procedure for on-line registration, requirements for the screening exercise and other general information.

Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 (i.e. N1,000.00 for the Computer-Based-Test screening and N1,000.00 as University Processing Fee) through Interswitch platform.

Screening Date: Direct Entry screening is from Thursday, 25th to Friday, 26th September, 2014. The screening exercise will be conducted using Computer Based-Test (CBT) platform.

AAUA Post Utme, Direct Entry Application Form 2014

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba AAUA Post UTME / Direct Entry DE Application Form is now available. The management Adekunle Ajasin University invites candidates who wrote the 2014 JAMB UTME to apply for the post utme screening examination of the institution.

Admission by Entrance Examination UTME: Applicants who chose AAUA as choice in the 2014/2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) administered by JAMB and those who did not choose AAUA but are interested in the admission must obtain a score 180/or above to write the screening.

Candidates must, in addition to attaining an acceptable standard in UTME, possess one of the following qualifications.

(a) Credits in five subjects (among them, English Language and Mathematics) relevant to the course and obtained at no more than two sittings in the Senior School Certificate (SSC) or the School Certificate/General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (SC/GCE O/level) or equivalent.

(b) Grade II Teacher’s Certificate (TC II) with credit or merit passes in at least five subjects. (This is acceptable only in the Faculty of Education).

(c) NABTEB Qualifications.

A credit in Mathematics is required for all Science and Social Science courses, except where it is stated otherwise.

A credit in English Language is required for all courses.

Admission by Direct Entry (DE): Applicants must choose AAUA in JAMB DE form and also obtain one of the following qualifications to be considered for Direct Entry, admission.

(a) A minimum of five subjects passed at no more than two sittings, with at least two of them passed at the Principal or Advanced level of the GCE and the others at credit level in SSC/GCE/O level. No subject will be counted at both Ordinary and Advanced levels.

(b) Passes in two major subjects in the NCE, with SSC/ GCE/O-level credits or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses). Education may be accepted as a third A/Level subject for those taking courses in Education.

(c) A good first degree holder who has completed the National Youth Service Corps Programme may be accepted into the Law programme.
