The first admission list of undergraduates that applied for admission into the University Of Ibadan(UI) for the 2015/2016 academic session is now available on JAMB Official website. Candidates are hereby implored to check their admission status on JAMB website provided they were successful in the 2015/2016 Post Utme screening of the institution.

UI 2015/2016 Direct Entry Admission Procedure Announced

The management of University of Ibadan (UI) hereby requests all candidates who made the University their First Choice in the Direct Entry (DE) Admissions for 2015/2016 to submit their biodata, ‘O’ level and any of ‘A’ level, NCE, ND, HND, Degree or equivalent certificates ONLINE through http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng on or before Friday, 16 October, 2015.

Application Instructions:

A (i) Candidates are to pay N4, 000.00 (this excludes bank charges) into U.I. Admission Processing Fee Account at the University of Ibadan Micro-Finance Bank (Acct. No – 1050000027). Candidates are advised to keep their bank teller.

The teller should have full names of the candidate (SURNAME first) as indicated in the DE registration print-out preceded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee.

Name and JAMB Registration Number should be quoted in the depositor’s name at the point of payment (in the Bank). The following format could be adopted:

JAMB registration number/names e.g. 93145667FE/SHUAIB, AKANO, OLUKOYA

(ii) Consequent upon payment of the Processing Fee of N4,000.00 at the bank, candidates are expected to submit their Teller Numbers. This should be done by logging-in on: http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng with the JAMB Registration Number.

(iii) Candidates are then expected to log-in onto http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng to submit their biodata, ‘O’ level results, and any of ‘A’ level, NCE, ND, HND, Degree or equivalent certificates.

(v) Candidates should ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead todisqualification.

B (i) Please fill the on-line forms in CAPITAL letters only.

(ii) Candidates can return to the portal, up till Friday, 16 October, 2015 to edit/complete their previous entries or otherwise review and print their biodata. Applicants should note that no further editing CAN be done after the closing date.

(iii) Kindly use functional e-mail addresses and telephone numbers to enable the University reach you in the course of the Admissions exercise and whenever the need arises.

(iv) Candidates are expected to upload their passport photographs and signatures. The image format for the passport and signature is JPEG and must not exceed the specification. The photograph must show both ears, without glasses, cap or headgear.

(v) An online help desk platform on http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng/helpdesk will be available to handle all genuine enquiries.

(vi) Schedule: Names of candidates recommended for Admission will be displayed on the University’s Website at a date to be announced later.

Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice that another result may be presented to complement. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (6 credits at 2 Sittings except Medicine and Surgery and Pharmacy) should ensure that the comprehensive details of both results are submitted.

The deadline for submission of biodata / ‘O’ level results may not be extended. Any candidate whose data are not submitted within the stipulated time may not be considered for admission.

Misrepresentation/falsification of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Anyone found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and in appropriate cases, be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agencies.

Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submissions.

Finally, candidates are requested to note that payment of the sum of N4,000.00 is for processing of each applicant’s application and does not guarantee admission.

This is to inform candidates who choose the University of Ibadan and Scored 200 and above that they should proceed with their registration on the institutions website.

How To Apply

Candidates are advised to visit the official registration portal http://admissions.ui.edu.ng/#/ and sign in using their username and password in the spaces provided to continue with the registration.
please note:Your Username is your Jamb Registration Number while Your Password is your Surname eg Danjuma.
Guidelines to follow on Filling the Bio Data Form

1. Fields marked asterisks (*) are compulsory.
2. Your photo size should not be more than 50KB and the file format is JPEG. 
3. Your signature size should not be more than 50KB and the file format is also JPEG.

All the subjects of your O’Level are in the same selection box. Pick each at a time, select the grade and click ADD button to add them to your list. You can also remove any of the subjects if you change your mind.
When you are through selecting all the subjects, click on save to save your O’Level results.
Maximum of two sittings are allowed where necessary.
The computer keeps track of your level of processing and in case of any power failure or network failure, it takes you to where you stopped when you log in again.

The deadline for registration in the 2015/2016 Admissions exercise is August 31, 2015.

The School of Postgraduate Studies, University Of Ibadan(UI) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into various postgraduate programmes for 2015/2016 Academic Session. TYPES OF ADMISSION

(i) Full-Time Admission
Full-time admission can be offered only to candidates who satisfy the Postgraduate School that they are not in employment, or that they have been released by their employers to undertake full-time studies.
Candidates found to have made a false declaration in this regard shall be asked to withdraw from the University.

(ii) Part-Time Admission
Candidates may be admitted to part-time registration, if they are on the academic staff of the University or can satisfy the Postgraduate School that facilities for their work as part-time students are adequate.
Candidates applying for part-time registration may be asked to show evidence of release by their employers.

(iii) Admission as Occasional Students
Candidates who satisfy the minimum entry requirements for higher degree programme and are recommended by the Faculty Postgraduate Committee may be admitted as occasional students, but shall not be awarded a degree of the University of Ibadan. This type of admission is also open to candidates registered for higher degrees of other Universities, recognised by Senate.

General Regulations Governing Admission to Higher Degree Programmes

(a) Candidates for admission to higher degree programmes shall normally be graduates of the University of Ibadan or other Universities/Institutions recognised by the Senate. Admission shall be made by the Postgraduate School on the recommendation of the appropriate Faculty Postgraduate Committee.

(b) Candidates without any previous higher degrees in the relevant discipline may be admitted only to either the Degree of Master or the Professional Degree of Master.

(c) Candidates with recognised Research Higher Degree in the relevant discipline may be admitted to the M.Phil or Ph.D. degree programmes as appropriate, on the recommendation of the appropriate Faculty Postgraduate Committee.

(d) Where, in respect of an otherwise eligible candidate with a higher degree, a firm recommendation for admission to the Ph.D. degree programme cannot be made, a Faculty may recommend that a candidate be admitted provisionally to the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme pending an assessment report. Such an assessment shall be made by a panel set up by the Faculty Postgraduate Committee on the recommendation of the student’s department and shall take place not later than the end of the first semester of registration.

APPLICATION FORMS

Requests for application forms into higher degree programmes of the University are normally made every year. The procedure for obtaining Application Forms is available at www.pgschool.ui.edu.ng

Application forms cost N15,000 for academic programmes and N18,000 for professional programmes. Applicants for the degree of Master and Postgraduate Diploma are to pay an extra N2,500 for test of proficiency in English Language.

GUIDELINES FOR FILLING APPLICATION FORMS
(a) All application forms are to be submitted on-line. Applicants are to approach any of the Banks listed on the invoice. Note that E-channels are available at GTB and Skye Bank PLC.
(b) Incomplete information from an applicant may delay or halt action on such application.
(c) A candidate may apply to only one department or programme.
(d) Applicants are to upload their relevant credentials and submit along with their application electronically
(e) Acknowledgement of Application: Applicants would be informed electronically (through the e mail addresses provided in the electronically filled Application form) of progress in the processing of their forms.
(f) Letters of Recommendation: The Postgraduate School, University of Ibadan, requires three letters of recommendation from faculty members or others well acquainted with the student’s academic work. Please note that the referee forms are available online, to be completed and submitted electronically.
(g) Transcripts/Certificates: Official transcripts of all degrees completed are to be mailed to the Postgraduate School. If the Registrar of an applicant’s University will provide an official copy to the School directly, applicants must enclose along with the application an unofficial or student’s copy of the transcript for temporary reference.

To prevent delays, applicants should make adequate arrangements with their Registrars to provide transcripts before the stipulated deadline.

UI 2014 JAMB Performance Index, Post-UTME Qualified

UI Freshers Medical Screening Dates, Requirements & Venues – 2013/2014

Scholars NG releases the medical screening requirements, date and venues of The University of Ibadan (UI) for 2013/2014 academic session.

The 2013/2014 Students Medical Screening for the newly admitted students of the University of Ibadan would commence on 2^nd June 2014 and end 13^th June 2014 from 9am to 2pm daily.

The new intakes are to have their Chest ?X-rays done at the approved X-ray centres before the commencement of the screening exercise. They are to report at the designated venues for the screening with their Chest X-rays and the Student Medical Examination Form which has been downloaded from the Internet.

The following venues would be used for the screening exercise:

A Mop-up Screening Exercise would be on these Saturdays (June 14th, June 21st and June 28th) at the University Health Service from 9am to 2pm for students who missed the main screening exercise.

APPROVED X-RAY CENTRES FOR THE 2013/2014 STUDENTS MEDICAL SCREENING.

Newly admitted students of the University of Ibadan for the 2013/2014 Academic Session are enjoined to have their Chest X-rays done at these designated X-ray centres before the commencement of the screening.

All Chest X-rays MUST be accompanied with a RADIOLOGIST’S REPORT duly stamped and signed by a RADIOLOGIST.

Scholars NG wishes to use this Opportunity to inform the general public that Application for accommodation and payment of fees for 2013/2014 Session In the University Of Ibadan, (UI) will COMMENCE ON THE 30TH OF MAY CLOSES ON THE 30TH OF JUNE 2014

All students must PRINT and present PAYMENT ADVICE at banks before paying various fees

step 1 Visit the U.I. Portal www.portal.ui.edu.ng and type in your JAMB Registration Number at ‘NEW STUDENTS SHOULD CLICK HERE TO LOGIN’ to view your Matriculation Number, Hall of Residence and personalized email. Follow the link on the same page to “apply for hostel accommodation by clicking here”. This will allow you to apply for accommodation and you have the option of selecting your desired room

step 2 Click on “Payment Advice” on the homepage of the portal. Select the fee you want to pay for and submit. For every fee type ranging from accommodation, school fees, etc.
Ensure to print and PRESENT A COPY OF THE PAYMENT advice at any of the DESIGNATED BANKS before your payment will be received

step 3 After making payments: Login in with username as Matric number and required password as instructed below:
Your first time user login details is:
Username: Matric Number
Password: password.

But if you were deactivated
Username: Matric number
password: Matric number

step 4 Read the terms and conditions, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “I Agree A Fee Payment web page will be displayed, click on “Pay your fee” (on the top right corner of the page) to select your fee items.

step 5 Click on “Add Selected Items to my Pay list” Select the fee items that you want to pay for; e.g. School fees, Accommodation, Bundle fees etc Eligible first year and Final year student should select Accommodation levy in addition

step 6 Click on “Proceed” and wait for the PIN confirmation page.

step 7 Please note that once your payment is successful, you will be taken directly to your personalised school portal page and you are MANDATED to change your password and update your personal details before you do anything on the portal.

Click on “Click to edit your personal data form” at the top right hand corner of the page. Fill in your personal data and click “Update” at the top right hand corner. Please note that changes will not be saved until you click “Update”

Proceed to your Finance office with a copy of the payment confirmation to collect your Official School Receipt. You can check the status of your school receipt at finance office at www.streceipt.ui.edu.ng

Proceed to your department to obtain your Courses and login on UI Portal with your NEW Password. Click on “My Courses” to view all your Courses. Add new Courses by typing the Course Code e.g GES102 in “Add more Courses”. Click on check box to add Elective Courses to your Course listing. After completing your courses on the Course listings, click on “SAVE” and then “SUBMIT”. Click on “Finish”.

Henceforth communication to student shall be via your official email ALL STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE PRINTOUT OF ONLINE COURSE REGISTRATION FORM
