TASUED SUG President Critically Injured During Protest

The student’s protest at the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun over the restriction of students who didn’t pay for school fees to write exams by the school management has left a bitter sour as the Student Union Government (SUG) President of the school was critically injured in the process.

The TASUED SUG president, Comrade Sunday Ekeyokpa, was reportedly hit with gun butt by one of the security men during the students protest which had affected his brain as he is now behaving abnormally.

One of the students leaders, Hamed Falola confirmed the health condition of the students president. He said when contacted: “Yes, Sunday is not okay, his health condition is now questionable because of his attack by the OP MESA in the school last week.”

Folola appealed to the state government to come to the aid of the SUG president so that his life will be saved.

The management of the institution through the Vice- Chancellor had earlier released a statement blaming the insensitivity of the student body for the protest that caused the damage of properties worth millions of naira.
