Scholars NG Reporting: It was a horror sight to behold as an accident involving a bus carrying students of Bells Secondary School, Ota who were returning from an excursion occurred along Ife/Ibadan road at the weekend. The fatal accident claimed the life of two pupils while the driver escaped with minor injuries.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) officers at the scene of the accident blamed it on over-speeding as the rear tire of the Toyoto Hiace bus busted causing the motor to somersault.

Survivors of the accident were quickly taken to the General Hospital, Ikere, which is in the area, for prompt medical assistance by the men of FRSC and the Osun Ambulance Service.

The management of Bells Secondary School confirmed the sad incident to reporters when they were contacted. May the souls of the students rest in peace…
