Fed Poly Nekede Rector Awards Scholarship To Six Students

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede (FEDPONEK), Owerri, Dr. (Mrs.) Cele Njoku, on the 36th Matriculation of the Polytechnic gave scholarships to six students of the institution.

The students are; Chidi Ifeanyi (Electrical/Electronics Department), Nwosu Chinonso Paul (Public Administration), Ihekweme Sampson O. (Office Technology Management), Esther Chibor Ogadinma (Electrical Electronics), Okafor Blessing Ogechukwu (Computer Engineering Technology), and Onyewuchi Anthonia Amarachi (Quantity Surveying).

Delivering her Matriculation address, the Rector warned the students to desist from cultism, indecent dressing and examination malpractice while she also advised them not to put themselves into situations that will make them fall prey of kidnappers, rapist, assassins, robbers and cultist.

She urged the parents and guardians to be highly involved in the activities and upbringing of their children and wards respectively adding that governing of students is not only the duties of the school authorities.

Njoku finally said that the polytechnic has full synergy with donor agencies like PTDF, TETFUND, NCC, NDPC among others and she added that the alumni association has also been wonderful in partnership with the institution in the bid to achieve excellence.
