Ekiti State University Has a New VC

The Ekiti state Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has approved the appointment of Professor Samuel Oye Bandele as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, on Thursday, the governor acted on the recommendations of the Governing Council of the university which said that Prof. Bandele came first out of the three candidates who were interviewed for the job.

The appointment of the new VC takes effect from December 2, 2015 as the tenure  of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oladipo Aina expires on December 1, 2015.

While congratulating the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Governor Ayo Fayose tasked him to improve on what his predecessor has achieved he also used the medium to thank the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aina for contributing significantly to the growth of the institution physically, socially and economically.
