UNIBEN Announce 2015/2016 Hostel Booking Procedure
This is to inform all UNIBEN students that The management of University of Benin (UNIBEN)
has released the online hostel accommodation booking instructions for
fresh and returning students for the 2015/2016 academic session.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE/INSTRUCTIONS
APPLICATION PROCEDURE/INSTRUCTIONS
- Go to the University of Benin website – http://uniben.edu Click on Student Portal.
- Click login and enter login details (Using Student ID and Password)
- Click on My Data and choose Payments.
- Create and pay for a Bed Allocation fee ticket, using any valid Verve or Master ATM Card from any Nigerian Commercial bank.
- Click on My Data and choose Accommodation Data.
- Click Book Accommodation and enter the Activation code on the Bed Allocation ticket earlier paid for (Example is HOS-0-0123456789).
- If successful, print out an acknowledgement slip that contains the Hostel Payment and Allocation details.
- Pay your Hostel maintenance fee by creating and paying for the ticket under the payments Option.
- Pay for your Hostel maintenance charge within 4 days of being assigned a space.to avoid forfeiting it.
- The Bed Allocation ticket is valid for only one successful.
- All Students must have paid relevant school fees for the 2015/2016 session before attempting to book for accommodation.
- Only Freshers (Newly Admitted Students) and Final Year Students are enabled to book for accommodation.
- Only Freshers that have completed their physical clearance exercise and are duly cleared are enabled to book Accommodation.
- Only returning students that have their results uploaded after senate approval are enabled to book for accommodation.
- Only senate approved categories Successful (A) or Students with Carryover (B) are enabled to book for accommodation.
- Bed Allocation Fee [N1,000 (Fee) + N300 or N500 (Student Union) + N150 (Card Charge)] That is N1,450 for Returning Students and N1,650 for Freshers.
- Hostel Maintenance Fee [N8,000 or N12,500 + N150 (Card Charge)].
- Ensure you book for accommodation that you actually intend to stay in. Booking in proxy and/or sales of assigned spaces are illegal and unethical.
- For avoidance of doubt if you do not intend to stay in the hostels please do not book for a space.

Fed Poly Oko 2015/2016 Post-UTME Screening Result is Out
This is to inform the general public that the management of Federal Polytechnic, Oko (OKOPOLY) has released the results of the recently organized 2015 / 2016 Post UTME Screening Examination. The results can now be accessed online on the Oko Polytechnic result checking portal with a result checking scratch card.
Steps to Check 2015 OkoPoly Post Utme Result:
1) First Visit the Poly Oko Post Utme result checking portal via the link below;
==> http://www.federalpolyokoexams.edu.ng/ptume_Result.php
2) Select the current Session which is 2015/2016
3) Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the space provided,
4) Enter the PIN of your result checking scratch card (please note that the scratch card is sold at the rate of N1,500 in Oko and Ekwulobia),
5) Then click on the CHECK RESULT button to access your result.

UNIABUJA 2015/16 Resumption Date Has Been Announced
The management of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has approved the first semester of 2015/2016 Academic Session resumption date, this was made known to the public in a MEMO from the school Senate.
Students are to resume on Monday, 16th November, 2015.
All Students should note that Registration for courses starts immediately upon resumption. All New students are to report in the University by the said date to start their registrations.

The scholarship program, funded by Star and its Agbami co-venturers, is a major component of their Social Investment in the strategic development of health and education in Nigeria.

7. Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
8. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
9. When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.
10. Recheck application information to avoid errors
11. Click "Apply Now" to submit information
12. You will receive an email and a sms that confirms your application was successful.
13. Return to www.scholastica.ng enter your Email and Password to download your verification profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed verification profile, this would be used for verification.
15. If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN);

appointment of Professor Samuel Oye Bandele as the new Vice-Chancellor
of the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, on Thursday, the governor acted on the recommendations of the Governing Council of the university which said that Prof. Bandele came first out of the three candidates who were interviewed for the job.
The appointment of the new VC takes effect from December 2, 2015 as the tenure of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oladipo Aina expires on December 1, 2015.
While congratulating the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Governor Ayo Fayose tasked him to improve on what his predecessor has achieved he also used the medium to thank the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aina for contributing significantly to the growth of the institution physically, socially and economically.

(Contents of the pre-application form include surname, first name, middle name, e-mail address and mobile number). Upon successful completion of the pre-application form, the applicant will be issued a Payment Reference Number which should be printed out.
- Applicants should take their printout containing the payment reference number to any of the HRDC application fee collecting banks (Ecobank, Access Bank, First Bank and Wema Bank) on the University campus to make payment. (Application Fee N7,500.00).
- After payment, applicants should return to the payment portal, click the application form link and login with the payment Reference Number and surname (in lower case and strictly as provided in the pre-application form) as password to access the application form.
Only application payment that the bank has confirmed receipt of, will have access to the application form. Applicants who experience challenges may return to the bank where payment was made to request that their payment be posted. (Notification of payment receipt shall be sent to applicants who have paid).
The password will be as provided in the Surname field in lower case; errors in filling of surname must therefore be reflected in the password used.
After completion of application form, printed copies should be submitted at the HRDC Secretariat with the following documents not later than Friday 13th November, 2015.
- Original printout and a photocopy.
- Two (2) photocopies of Birth Certificate.
- Two (2) photocopies of Reference Number printout.
- Two (2) photocopies of N7,500.00 teller.
- Two (2) photocopies of Credentials.
Letters of Admission will not be posted to individual candidates. The admission list will be available on Human Resources Development Centre portal (hrdc.unilag.edu.ng) and University of Lagos website (http//:www.unilag.edu.ng).

QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate(s) for the position must possess a good degree from a recognized University. He/she must be computer literate, and acquisition of some formal training in the management of higher education as well as possession of higher Degree(s) will be an advantage.
Candidate(s) for the position of Registrar should be of good health and pleasant disposition. He/she must possess the qualities of sound judgement, dependability and unassailable integrity.
DUTIES:
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University. He/she will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University except with regard to financial matters.
The Registrar is, by virtue of his Office, the Secretary to the Governing Council, the Senate, the Congregation and the Convocation of the University. He/she shall, in addition, perform any other duties as may be directed by the Vice-Chancellor or the Governing Council.
EXPERIENCE:
The candidate(s) for the position of Registrar must have had, at least, eighteen (18) years post-qualification cognate experience in a University, at least three of which must be at the level of Deputy Registrar. He/she must possess adequate leadership experience.
SALARY AND OTHER CONDITIONS:
The salary and the conditions applicable to Registrars in Federal Universities and as may be reviewed from time to time will apply.
