DURATION OF PROGRAMME

Each student admitted for Master's or PhD Degree Programme must pursue a FULL - TIME course of study and research in the Academy. Depending on the Degree in View, the following conditions are also applicable.

• A student for the Master's Degree shall pursue the programme for 2 years (4 semesters).
• Candidates for PhD Degree shall pursue the programme for 3 years (6 semesters).

At the expiration of the period of study for any given programme, a student who has not completed his/her programme shall be withdrawn from the Academy. However, in exceptional circumstances, application for extension to complete the programme may be entertained. Extension shall not exceed a period of one year (2 Semesters) in case of Master’s degree and 2 years (4 semesters) in case of Ph.D.
PROFESSIONAL POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements for the various programmes are as follows:
a. Master’s Degree. Candidates applying for the professional Masters programmes must possess a Bachelor degree with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division). Candidates with Third Class degree or Higher National Diploma must also possess a Postgraduate Diploma in a related discipline from any recognised university to be eligible for admission. HND candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit to apply.
b. PGD Programmes. Candidates applying for the Postgraduate Diploma programme must possess a Bachelor degree from the Nigerian Defence Academy or any other recognised university, or a Higher National Diploma.
FULL –TIME POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements for the various programmes are as follows:
a. Master’s (MA. MEng and MSc) Degrees. A candidate seeking admission into the Master’s Degree programme shall be a graduate of the Nigerian Defence Academy or any other recognized university. Such candidate must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in the relevant field of study.
b. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree. A candidate for PhD Degree must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) at Bachelor Degree and a Master’s Degree in the proposed field of study from a recognized university. In addition, the candidate must

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Master's DegreeCandidates applying for the Part-Time Masters Programmes must possess a Bachelor Degree with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division). DURATION OF PROGRAMME

Each admitted student for Part-Time Master's Degree Programme must pursue weekend mode of study and research on Fridays and Saturdays for the period of the study. The following conditions are also applicable.

• A student of Master Degree shall pursue the Programme for 1 year (2 semesters) except MBA programme which runs for 2 years.
• A student of Postgraduate Diploma shall pursue the programme for 1 year (2 semesters).

Candidates are required to purchase Access or PIN Codes available at all Zenith Bank Branches and Cash Offices nationwide at the cost of ₦7,500.00 only, excluding bank charges of ₦500.00, for online application.

The Nigerian Army pre-screening examination result for 74RRI Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women is now out. Candidates that participated in the Pre-Screening exercise held on Saturday, 3rd October, 2015 are to check the list of successful candidate for Zonal Screening online.

Duration of Programme

Each student admitted for Master’s or PhD Degree must pursue a FULL-TIME course of study and research in the Academy. Depending on the degree in view, the following conditions are also applicable:

A student for the Master’s degree shall pursue the programme for 2 years (4 Semesters)

Candidates for PhD degree shall pursue the programme for 3 years (6 Semesters). Important Notice To All Candidates

Candidates who fail to report by Saturday 20 June 2015 and Sunday 5 July 2015 for Batches 1 and 2 respectively will not be allowed to attend the interview. Any Batch 2 candidate who is seen around the NDA premises before 5 July 2015 will be disqualifed. Candidates will be accommodated and fed throughout the duration of their stay for the AFSB.
All candidates will undergo a screening exercise which will involve certifcates/credentials screening, medical tests and physical ftness tests. Only candidates who pass the screening exercise will qualify to continue with the interview.

Requirements For the Selection Interview

Candidates MUST bring along the original and photocopies of the following documents:
a. JAMB UTME Result Slip.
b. Acknowledgement Form and NDA Examination Admission Card.
c. Academic certifcates / statements of result, and testimonials for primary and secondary schools (junior and senior).
d. Birth Certifcate or Declaration of Age, preferably Birth Certifcate.

e. Letter of Attestation of State/Local Government Indigeneship duly signed by the Secretary to the State Government or Chairman of Local Government, as the case may be. Certifcation obtained from a military offcer from the candidate’s state of origin, who must be of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and above or equivalent in the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force, may be used in place of Local Government Indigeneship Certifcate. In this case, the offcer must indicate his formation/unit, appointment, contact address, phone numbers and e-mail address. The offcer must also affx formation/unit stamp and sign.
f. Letter of Consent from parent/guardian. Candidates are to download both the Attestation and Consent Forms from the NDA applications portal and complete same.

Candidates who fail to bring along the documents listed above will be disqualifed. Any alterations on the documents will attract outright disqualifcation.

Other Requirements

Candidates are to also bring along the following items:
a. Writing materials.
b. Three blue shorts and 3 white (round-neck) T-shirts.
c. A pair of white canvas shoes and 3 pairs of white socks.
d. Toiletries.
e. Scratch cards for WAEC and/or NECO results for online confrmation of result.
f. Four recent coloured passport photographs.
g. The second copy of Postcard Photograph that was presented and endorsed at the Exam Centre during the Entrance Examination.
h. Suffcient money for transport to and from Kaduna.

Nigerian Defence Academy 2015/2016 Examination Date Is Out

We wish to inform our readers that The date for the 2015 NDA entrance examination for the 67th regular course admission (more like Post-UTME Screening) has been released. This is to inform Members of the public and candidates who have chosen the Nigerian Defence Academy during the last JAMB UTME are hereby informed of this update.

Nigerian Defence Academy 2015 Examination Date (67th Regular Course)

All candidates that applied for the 2015 JAMB registration and have met the minimum JAMB cut-off mark requirement would be invited for the NDA Entrance Examination in due course.

Now to the date of the NDA entrance examination – the 2015 screening test has been scheduled to hold  is scheduled on Saturday 25th April, 2015. That’s no longer far away from today’s date.

Like we have said earlier, this is more like the Post-UTME screening of the NDA for the 2015/2016 admission exercise. You must meet some requirements such as cut-off mark by JAMB.
